Welcome to my blog!

Hello and welcome to my first blog!

I know, I know, it's about time.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself...I guess you could say that
my DNA contains the art gene.  My Mother is a artist and my Father
was a painting contractor so I learned at an early age about design
and color from the both of them.

Mom taught me how to draw and paint and a million other artsy
things and Dad, well Dad taught me that if you decide that you
want your room painted hot pink that you will have to live with
it for a long time-I got my stubborn streak from him!

Now you're probably wondering why I chose the name
The Crazy Bead Hoarder for my blog...
Well, the reason is because I hoard my beads.
Really, they could do an episode of Hoarders about me!
I never met a bead I didn't like!  Ok, so that's not true since
I'm not big on pony beads.

I also love going on Bead Safaris...searching out Big Game
Stones and bagging and tagging them for taxidermy, I mean
jewelry designing!

Here are some photos from my recent adventures in the
deepest and darkest of bead shows where I had to fight
off those that would get in my line of sight for those
elusive bargain beads of lapis and turquois and crystals
OH MY!

I  would also like to show you what I made from some of
the beads lurking in my studio for the
OMG Renaissance Challenge.

This necklace is titled
This Is Why We Have A Moat

Yes, that is a real alligator's foot!
You wouldn't believe what I had to do to get it!

This is my second entry for the OMG
Renaissance Challenge  My bangle bracelet is titled
                  Buddha Meditates in the Temple

I hope this tickled your funny beading bone.

Until my next entry...
Happy Beading,
Robin
